Whiteville City Schools
Earlier today, Whiteville High School conducted a brief lockdown as part of a random drug sweep on campus. We want to assure families that there was no threat of an intruder or danger to students or staff at any time.
These precautionary measures are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. The sweep was conducted with the assistance of our board-approved detection dog, Zena and school resource officers.
Please be aware that random sweeps like this may occur periodically as part of our safety protocols.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to keep our schools safe.
